The Effectiveness of Role-Playing Model for Arithmetic Operation Learning

Learning models are necessary because one of the purposes using learning is to improve students' abilities. One that can be used in elementary school role-playing. This study aims know effectiveness role-playing mathematics learning, especially an arithmetic operation. research quantitative with a pre-experimental design; it’s one-shot case study. research's subject was Elementary School 278 Padakallawa's fourth-grade students at Pinrang Regency, South Sulawesi. The data were obtained two instruments: achievement test sheets and activity observation sheets. collected analyzed descriptive statistics. result showed implementation achieved established indicators, which (1) percentage activities good category 61.11%, (2) mastery classically 90.5% exceeding set standard 85%. It concluded develop students’ character very effective way increase their creativity self-confidence.
